About The Rhode Island Knights Program

The Rhode Island Knights AAU Basketball Program was founded with a vision and a purpose.

Established by Todd French at just 22 years old, the Rhode Island Knights were built on the belief that student-athletes deserve more than just basketball. From day one, the mission has been to inspire, develop, and guide young athletes to reach their full potential—both on and off the court—while preparing them to compete at the next level.

Fast forward eight years later, and that vision has become reality. The Rhode Island Knights have helped 21 student-athletes advance to next level of college basketball, earning opportunities across NCAA Division I, NCAA Division III, and NJCAA programs. For a small program, this success speaks volumes about the commitment, development, and support provided to every athlete who wears the RI Knights jersey.

What truly separates the Rhode Island Knights is our family-like atmosphere. We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with players and families, holding our athletes accountable, and teaching the values of hard work, discipline, and respect. Our players are developed as competitors, teammates, and leaders.

On the court, the Rhode Island Knights compete at a high level, participating in one of New England’s premier invite-only circuits, ZGXL, consistently facing top competition and providing our athletes with elite exposure.

The Rhode Island Knights are more than a basketball program — We are a family.
